“Keeping On” — A Letter from the Heart of the Mission

On December 24, 2023, coordinated attacks swept through Christian communities in Plateau State. Hundreds died. Thousands fled. In the aftermath, CTOMN leadership wrote a letter — not of despair, but of theological defiance and renewed resolve. This is that story.

“A friend asked me: ‘Why do you keep going? Is it worth it?’ I told him: the question is not whether it is worth it. The question is whether we were called. And we were called.”

— CTOMN Leadership, December 2023

Testimonies

Classical Language
The Classical Language training changed everything for me. I can now open a Qur'an, read it, and respond to my Muslim neighbors with love and truth — in their own language.

Emmanuel O.

Advanced Classical Language Student, 2023

IDP Relief
When we lost everything in the December attacks, CTOMN was there. They brought food, clothing, and — most importantly — they prayed with us. They didn't ask what religion we were.

Fatima A.

WCV Program Beneficiary, 2024

Children
My daughter can read now. She can write. Before Beacon of Light, she had no school to go to. Now she talks about becoming a teacher herself.

Discipleship
The session with our discipleship facilitator saved our marriage. We came in ready to walk away. We left with a new language for talking to each other — and to God.
